A Virtual backstage tour...

As promised we are posting more of the pictures from our recent trip to see Dear Edwina. The wonderful Janice Mays (who plays Edwina in the show) gave us a tour backstage. Then we got to watch the cast set up for their show.

Going backstage we were reminded to keep our voices down during the show. We walked down the hall backstage. The first place Janice took us was the women's dressing room where all of the actresses were getting ready for their afternoon show...

This is Janice's dressing area. She has it decorated with pictures and different things she likes.

Here, Katie Whetsell (who plays Kelli Poshkonozovich) is getting her hair ready for the show.


Janice takes us into the Men's dressing room to see where they get ready.


There is a cot in the dressing room so when the actors have time off stage they can relax.

Next we went up to the stage where the cast was setting their props and getting ready.

Janice and Morgan Rose (the Female Swing and Dance Captain) set a prop in its place.

This is Morgan and Doug Thompson (Billy Vanderploonk) putting props in the boxes that live on stage.

With all the props ready backstage the cast gets into costume to do the show!
